A man who was listed as wanted by the St James Police has been arrested and charged.
He is Donald Reid, otherwise called ‘John’, a 46-year-old taxi operator of Portobello, St James. Reid was wanted for Buggery and Rape.
Reports received are that Reid was arrested in St Elizabeth during a special operation on Wednesday January 24. The operation reportedly targeted individuals believed to have fled from St James because of the state of public emergency. He was officially charged on Friday January 26.
The Police continue to appeal to all Jamaicans to call Crime Stop at 311/ 811 or the tip line at 837-8888 with any information that can lead to the arrest of wanted persons and the seizure of firearms and ammunition.
They are also reminding anyone who may be hesitant to call or share information that the life they save may be their own, and urges all citizens to do their part to help the security forces take back St James and Jamaica from criminals.
